Gyanvapi Updates: Survey continues in Gyanvapi, videography done in three rooms of the basement, DGP and Chief Secretary are monitoring

Survey proceedings are going on in the presence of all the parties on the orders of the court to bring out the truth of Varanasi’s Gyanvapi complex. Special cameras and lights have been arranged for videography of the entire complex. There is heavy security around the Gyanvapi campus. The survey work of three rooms of the basement of Gyanvapi Masjid has been completed. The survey work of the fourth room is yet to be done. It is not yet known what was found in the basement. During the ongoing survey in the presence of Advocate Commissioner, the entire team is closely monitoring each and every thing.

The DGP and the Chief Secretary are monitoring the entire matter. Survey work will be done till 12 noon. Strict legal action will be taken by registering an FIR against those obstructing the proceedings of the commission. An alert has been issued in Varanasi Commissionerate regarding Gyanvapi survey. Social media is being monitored.

All the shops around the temple are closed. The road leading to Gyanvapi from Madagin and Godaulia has been closed for the general public. Baba’s devotees are being given entry into the temple from gate number one. Kashi Vishwanath Dham area is transformed into a cantonment.

56 people were present during the survey
The survey includes plaintiff-respondent parties, advocates for both sides, Advocate Commissioner and his team, DGC Civil and his team, Vishwanath Mandir team and police-administrative officers team (total 56). Everyone’s mobile has been deposited outside. 14 more people are reserved outside, they will be called under any circumstances on the orders of the Advocate Commissioner.

The court has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the survey to Advocate Commissioner Ajay Mishra. He is accompanied by Special Court Commissioner Vishal Singh and Assistant Court Commissioner Ajay Pratap Singh. The media has been stopped at the Gyanvapi complex and about a kilometer away from the main gate. The videography survey of Gyanvapi Masjid started at 8 am and will continue till 12 noon.

Let us tell you that while hearing this matter, the court has ordered a fresh survey. The report of the matter is to be presented in the court on May 17. The survey proceedings, starting from Saturday, will continue from 8 am to 12 noon every day till May 16.

Earlier, the survey proceedings started on May 6, which came to a halt on May 7 due to the uproar. On May 7 itself, the Anjuman Inazaniya Masajid Committee had submitted an application in the court demanding the replacement of Advocate Commissioner (Court Commissioner). The court rejected this demand on Thursday.

A large number of PAC and CAPF personnel have been deployed inside and outside Shrikashi Vishwanath Temple Gate No. Apart from the policemen posted earlier, additional forces have also been deployed around the Gyanvapi Mosque. At the same time, the police are doing rounds in the streets and sensitive areas also imposed along the main road. Police are also deployed on the roofs of the house.

On April 8, a hearing was held on the suit filed by five women demanding daily darshan worship of Shringar Gauri located in the Gyanvapi complex. Appointing Ajay Kumar Mishra as Advocate Commissioner, the court had ordered to survey the Gyanvapi premises and submit the report in the court by May 10.

The commission proceedings started on May 6 but could not be completed. On May 7, the Anjuman Inazaniya Masajid Committee filed an application in the court demanding change of Advocate Commissioner. At the same time, an appeal was made on behalf of the plaintiff to give a clear order to inspect the basement including the basement inside the barricading of the Gyanvapi Mosque, on this application, the hearing went on for three days in the court. After the decision of the court, now the commission proceedings have started from Saturday.
