2. The issue of Hindutva followed: After the formation of the coalition government, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray was accused of compromising on the issue of Hindutva. Then it became the issue of lynching of sadhus in Palghar, azaan from the mosque and the issue of namaz on the streets.
Apart from this, the arrest of MP Navneet Rana for reciting Hanuman Chalisa also became a reason for the displeasure of the Shiv Sainiks. At the same time, when Rahul Gandhi also criticized Hindutva, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray did not say anything. Shiv Sainiks are united on the issue of Hindutva and Maratha and both these issues were getting left behind for the Uddhav government. Shiv Sena MLAs were also annoyed by the constant attitude of the Shiv Sena chief on the issue of Hindutva.
3. NCP snatched the chief minister’s chair from Shinde: When the alliance of Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP was being formed, Eknath Shinde was the frontrunner in the race for Chief Minister. It is said that Shiv Sena had proposed Shinde’s name only, but then NCP chief Sharad Pawar cut it down. He said that it will be right only if someone from the Thackeray family becomes the Chief Minister. After this, Shinde did not get much attention even in the cabinet distribution. Due to this Shinde and the MLAs of his camp are said to be angry.
4. Uddhav does not meet MLAs: A big reason for the displeasure of the MLAs is that Uddhav Thackeray is always not reachable. Meaning he rarely meets his MLAs and leaders. Most of his work is done by his son Aditya Thackeray. If there is a problem, the MLAs do not know whom to contact.
