Khonoma Village Nagaland I Northeast India Nagaland Travel Video I Swanderlust
This is the second video from Nagaland, in this video I spend a day exploring Khonoma village Nagaland.
Nagaland is known for its beauty but this video is beyond the majestic beauty of Nagaland. Northeast India is a very part of India and if you ask me its my favourite especially because of the amazing people there. In this Khonoma village vlog I have tried to show the responsible mindset of people of this village, I hope you take this video a positive spirit. Khonoma village is a very special place
How to reach Khonoma village
We travelled from Kigwema, so we had to reach Kohima first and from there we booked a private cab to Khonoma. We payed INR 900 for the same.
Accomodation and food
Our accommodation, food and guide was organised by Experience destination.
Nagaland or Northeast India is not very expensive to travel to, on an average you might end up spending INR 3000 to INR 4000 for per destination. This is based on our budget and is subject to variation.

Nagaland is a mountainous state in northeast India, bordering Myanmar. It’s home to diverse indigenous tribes, with festivals and markets celebrating the different tribes’ culture. Its capital city of Kohima suffered heavy fighting in World War II, commemorated by memorials at the Kohima War Cemetery. The Nagaland State Museum exhibits ancient weaponry, a ceremonial drum and other traditional Naga cultural artifacts.
My trip to Nagaland from December 4 to December 10, 2018 was organized by ChaloHoppo, a travel company that specializes in crafting authentic local experiences in Northeast India. During this trip, I stayed at Camp Yedikha in Jakhama village. ( ) and visited the villages of Dzuleke and Khonoma. This experience was raw and nothing like anything I have experienced before.”
